Match Preview

High-flying Milan will have to experience a monumental collapse to stop them from progressing in the Europa League (EL) round-of-32 against Ludogorets.
After winning the first leg 3-0, Milan have one foot in the next round, but they won’t want to be complacent. They have now gone ten games unbeaten (W7, D3) in all competitions. At home, their recent record reads one loss in ten games (W7, D2, L1) in all competitions.
The perennial Bulgarian Champions Ludogorets have a near-impossible task of stopping their illustrated hosts. They returned to competitive action with a loss in the first leg of this encounter, but have since picked up a win in the Bulgarian league.
With his side back in contention for a top-four finish in Serie A, Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso could cast one eye on resting his regulars. However, he would do well to note that Milan have won only two of their last seven home knockout games in Europe, losing three.
Ludogorets have kept three clean sheets in four EL games this season, but have scored only three goals while conceding one. They are attempting to rewrite history though, as they have not won any of their last six matches in EL knockout phase (D2, L4).
Key battlesPatrick Cutrone (Milan) has three goals in his last three matches and will look to carry that form into this game.
Marcelinho (Ludogorets) has two goals and one assist in six EL games.
Stat attack: Milan have kept clean sheets in four of their last five matches.
Ludogorets have lost only one of their last 13 matches away from home (W8, D4, L1) in all competitions and were also unbeaten in the group phase (W1, D3).
Making their debut in the EL, the seven-time European Champions AC Milan have just one loss at the San Siro in 19 European matches (W15, D3, L1).
